NEW DELHI: On the anniversary of the birth of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the warrior king Maratha on Friday, saying that his life will motivate the country for centuries.

The Governor of Maharashtra, Bhagat Singh Koshyari, also paid tribute to the warrior king Maratha in Mumbai today.
Koshyari paid a floral tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on the occasion of his birth anniversary.
Chhatrapati Shivaji was born on February 19, 1630 at Shivneri Fort in Pune.
