NEW DELHI: More than 80 lakhs of healthcare and frontline workers across India have received injections of the Covid-19 vaccine as of February 13, according to Health Ministry data released Saturday at 8.11pm.
The government plans to vaccinate more than 30 million million high-risk groups, including front-line and healthcare workers, the elderly and people with comorbidities by July 2021.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, Karnataka has administered the maximum number of vaccine doses in the country so far with more than 1,91,443 people vaccinated. They are followed by Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Telangana.

Globally, injections of the Covid-19 vaccine have been given to more than 165.75 million people.

The United States, the country most affected by the virus, has administered the largest number of vaccine injections in the world with 48.41 million.
India is catching up fast and is currently in fourth place.
