Have full faith in EVMs, says Ajit Pawar | India News

MUMBAI: Amid the demand for paper ballots in addition to electronic voting machines, Maharashtra’s Senior Deputy Minister Ajit Pawar stated on Thursday that he has full faith in EVMs.
He added that what political parties generally do is that if a party wins with a huge mandate, all is well, but as soon as a party loses the election, they blame the EVMs.
“The congressional government came to power in Rajasthan and Punjab even when elections were held through EVM. What political parties generally do is that if a party wins with a huge mandate, all is well, but as soon as a party loses the elections, they blame it on the EVM. but I have total faith in the EVM, “Pawar told reporters here.
Responding to reporters on the statement of the newly appointed head of state Congress, Nana Patole, on EVM, Pawar said that if Congress proposes ballots, that can be discussed.
