The violence at the tractor rally was planned a conspiracy to smear farmers: Congress | India News

NEW DELHI: Congress said Wednesday that the January 26 violence during the tractor rally in the national capital was a planned conspiracy to smear the peaceful farmers movement.
Congressional spokesman Randeep Surjewala blamed the Union Interior Minister Amit Shah for the violence that took place yesterday and called for his resignation.
Earlier today, the Aam Aadmi Party also alleged that the BJP planted its “puppet” actor Deep Sidhu to create “mayhem” at the farmer’s tractor parade in Delhi on Republic Day.
At a press conference, AAP spokesperson Raghav Chadha, while questioning the connection between Sidhu and BJP, showed several photos allegedly of the actor with various BJP leaders.
“The BJP planted their puppet Deep Sidhu to create chaos in the farmers’ tractor parade,” said Chadha.
Tuesday’s tractor parade that was to highlight demands by farmers’ unions to repeal the three new farm laws descended into anarchy as tens of thousands of protesters broke barriers, fought with police, overturned vehicles and raised a religious flag from the ramparts of the iconic Red Fort.
Clashes broke out in multiple locations, leading to violence in well-known locations in Delhi and its suburbs, amid waves of violence that ebbed and flowed on Republic Day.
Farmers union leaders and politicians have also blamed Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu for inciting violence during the tractor demonstration.
Sidhu was among the protesters at the Red Fort where flags were placed.
He was Deol’s assistant when the latter appeared from the Gurdaspur headquarters in Punjab during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Deol, who is now a BJP deputy, had distanced himself from Sidhu in December last year after joining the upheaval. of farmers.
