NEW DELHI: Samkyukta Kisan Morcha, a body that brings together protesting unions, called a meeting later Wednesday to discuss the violence that erupted during the farm tractor parade in the national capital.
Before the Morcha meeting, representatives from 32 Punjab unions will also gather at the Singhu border, a major protest site against the three new agricultural laws.
A senior farmer leader said: “The Samkyukta Kisan Morcha will meet around 3pm on Wednesday and discuss all aspects of the violence that occurred during the tractor parade in Delhi.”
The Samkyukt Kisan Morcha, a body that brings together 41 farmers’ unions, is leading the protest against the three central agricultural laws at various border points in Delhi.
After violence broke out during the tractor parade on Tuesday, Samyukt Kisan Morcha canceled the parade and asked participants to immediately return to their respective protest locations.
