Over 20 lakh and counting: India’s vaccination campaign follow-up | India News


NEW DELHI: More than 20 lakh healthcare workers across India have received injections of the Covid-19 vaccine as of January 26, the 11th day of the nationwide immunization drive.
The government plans to vaccinate more than 30 million million high-risk groups, including front-line and healthcare workers, the elderly and people with comorbidities by July 2021.
National Vaccine Tracker:

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, Karnataka has administered the maximum number of vaccine doses in the country so far with more than 2.3 lakh of people inoculated. They are followed by Odisha, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.
Global Vaccine Tracker:

Globally, more than 68 million people have been given injections of the Covid-19 vaccine.
The United States, the country hardest hit by the virus, has administered the largest number of vaccine injections in the world with 22.7 million.
India is catching up fast and is currently in sixth place.
