Seven More States to Get Covaxin Starting Next Week | India News

NEW DELHI: Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin will be administered in seven more states – Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal – starting next week, the Health Ministry said on Saturday. It is currently used in 12 states.
On Saturday, 1,46,598 people were vaccinated by 6 p.m. in 27 states and UT. So far, more than 15.37 lakh beneficiaries have been vaccinated since the campaign was launched on January 16.
Additionally, 123 adverse events were reported on Saturday after vaccination, but none were serious or serious, the ministry said.
So far, 11 cases of hospitalization have been reported, representing a minuscule part of the total number of vaccinated. “There have been six deaths since the vaccination campaign began, but none of the deaths have been found to be related to Covid injections. An autopsy of the 56-year-old Gurgaon woman who died in the last 24 hours found that she passed away from a cardiopulmonary attack, ”said Additional Health Secretary Manohar Agnani.
