Amit Shah Arrives in Guwahati for Public Meetings on January 24 | India News

GUWAHATI: The Union Interior Minister Amit Shah arrived in Guwahati in the early hours of Saturday.
Shah, on January 24, will hold two public meetings in Assam, which is scheduled to go to the polls later this year. In Kokrajhar of Assam, he will hold a meeting of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC).
Afterwards, he will address a public meeting organized by the BJP in Nalbari.
The BJP vice president and head of the Assam party, Baijayant Jay Panda, is camping in Assam and taking care of the preparations for the Shah rally.
“The Interior Minister will visit Assam for the second time in less than a month. In addition to government programs, including a meeting of the Bodoland Tribal Council area, he will also review the political situation and address a public rally organized by BJP in Nalbari. “Panda told ANI.
During Shah’s last visit to Assam, several MLAs from Congress joined the BJP.
The mandate of the 126-member Assam Assembly ends on May 31, 2021.
