In Australian Test, Covid Fight, ‘Atmanirbhar’ Spirit Won, Says Prime Minister Modi | India News

GUWAHATI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday maintained India’s determination and stamina to beat the odds, whether fighting the pandemic or writing a trade to win a series of tests against Australians in their lair, as evidence of the spirit of “Atmanirbhar Bharat” that permeates daily lives.
Addressing the 18th convocation of Tezpur University via videoconference, Prime Minister Modi said that he was personally inspired by these two “notable events” to continue working for an evolving and self-sufficient India. “As the battle against Covid-19 had just started, concerns were raised about a country as vast as India contemplating devastation due to scarce resources. But India has shown that if it is determined to do something and is resilient, it takes little time to prepare the necessary resources for the task. ”
The prime minister said that India “did not commit to the Covid situation” and took proactive decisions to curb the rapidly spreading virus. “With a made-in-India solution, we resisted the spread of the virus significantly and seized the opportunity to improve our healthcare infrastructure. Our vaccine research and production capacity has provided a shield of protection not only to India but to many other countries. ”
Modi attributed the success in producing a native Covid-19 vaccine to the combined force of scientists, researchers, and industry.
Prime Minister Modi, who will travel to Sivasagar on Saturday to preside over Assam’s largest land distribution plan for the “landless indigenous”, said the biggest transformation in the country was in the realm of instinct, action and the reaction, the creed of today’s youth.
Referring to the test series win against Australia, he said: “Young India is in charge. After a humiliating loss at the hands of the Australian cricket team, we fought back, won the next match and recorded a remarkable series victory. The players showed determination despite injuries. Many of the team members were inexperienced, but their positive intention was clear. ”
He urged students to view the circumstances of athletic success as a lesson in how confidence, a positive mindset, and a determination to overcome adversity can help the country scale new heights.
