Fire at the Serum Institute plant; safe vaccine manufacturing unit | India News


PUNE: On Thursday afternoon a major fire broke out at the Serum Institute of India (SII) vaccine manufacturing plant in Hadapsar in the city.
However, the fire did not affect the institute’s Covid vaccine manufacturing facility, which remains safe.
Adar Poonawalla, owner and CEO of SII, confirmed the incident at the vaccine manufacturing plant.
