Minor PoK Child Held With LoC In Poonch | India News

JAMMU: A minor child from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) was detained by the Jammu and Kashmir Police Special Operations Group (SOG) in Poonch District on Thursday.
Police sources said: “The boy was detained near Batar nallah in Poonch. It could not be immediately confirmed whether he inadvertently crossed over. ”
Police sources said that investigations are underway and that his repatriation would be made only after establishing whether he inadvertently crossed the border.
Ramesh Angral, SSP of Poonch, said: “The child has been identified as Ali Hadier, 10, son of Mohd Sharief, a resident of Mirpur Abbas in PoK.”
Previously, on December 7, the Poonch District authorities deported two teenagers who had inadvertently crossed into Indian Territory from PoK in the Poonch District.
