NEW DELHI: Google released a doodle on Thursday to commemorate New Year’s Eve.
The squiggle featured Google’s letters wrapped in colored lights with a symbolic cuckoo clock in the middle to announce the arrival of New Year’s Eve.
“It’s been a cute year, but the 2020 clock is ticking,” Google wrote.
The small Pacific island nations of Tonga, Samoa and Kiribati will be the first to celebrate the arrival of the New Year.
New Year’s Eve would be greeted by the nations of New Zealand, Australia, Japan, and South Korea.
Bakers Island in the central Pacific Ocean (an uninhabited atoll that is part of the minor outlying islands of the United States) and American Samoa will be the last to celebrate the arrival of 2021.
