Delhi is the capital of a great global strategic power and this glory must be reflected, says Prime Minister Modi
Delhi is the capital of a great global financial and strategic power, which has a population of more than 130 million rupees and this glory must be reflected, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday. He also assured that the government will improve the lives of the people of Delhi and the city will move forward.
“Delhi is the capital of a great global, financial and strategic power that has a population of more than 130 million rupees and this glory must be reflected. I believe that we will all continue to work together to improve the lives of the people of Delhi and move the city forward, ”said Prime Minister Modi during the launch event for India’s first driverless train on the Magenta Line of the Delhi Metro.
He also said that, by 2025, metro train services will expand to more than 25 cities across the country.
“The first metro in the country started with the effort of Atal Ji. When our government was formed in 2014, only five cities had subway services and today 18 cities have subway train service. By 2025, we will bring this service to more than 25 cities, ”said PM Modi.
“Make In India is very important for the expansion of metro services. It reduces costs, saves foreign exchange and provides more employment to people ”, he added.
“We note that with the expansion of the metro, modern means of transport must be used in accordance with the needs of the people of the city and the professional lifestyle there,” added the prime minister.
This is why work is being done on different types of subway tracks in different cities, he said.
Currently, four large companies manufacture subway cars in the country and dozens of companies are engaged in the manufacture of subway components. This is helping Make in India as well as the campaign for a self-sufficient India, said the Prime Minister.
“We are also using a braking system in which 50 percent of the power returns to the grid when the brakes are applied. Today 130 MW of solar energy is being used in the railway meter, which will be increased to 600 MW, ”said PM Modi.
