The DMK document, titled ‘Corruption on a Large Scale’ by the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers of the AIADMK government (2016-2020), claims that Palaniswami engaged in corruption by awarding road tenders to his relatives.

In reaction to Stalin’s request, Prime Minister Palaniswami told reporters in Thoothukudi that there was no room for corruption as tenders were posted online. He was flanked by the Minister of Finance, RB Udhayakumar, and the Minister of Food, R Kamaraj, who responded to the specific accusations. “It is DMK that is indulging in corruption and their cases are pending in court,” Palaniswami said, showing documents. “All of this will come out soon.
