NEW DELHI: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) to investigate the recent encounter in Nagrota in the Jammu region in which four terrorists from the banned Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), a Pakistan-based group, were killed by police authorities said. on Friday.
The counter-terrorism investigation agency took over the case following a notification issued by the Center.
The terrorists were killed on November 19 in the Nagrota area of ​​Jammu and Kashmir in a swift police operation.
The NIA investigation will attempt to determine the planning and ultimate goal of the four JeM terrorists and the people they came in contact with in Jammu and Kashmir.
The agency team had visited the meeting place in Ban Toll Plaza on November 19.
The NIA is already investigating an encounter that took place on January 31 of this year in which three JeM terrorists were killed.
