BSF officer killed in Pakistan firing along LoC in Rajouri
A BSF officer was killed in Pakistan shooting across the LoC in Rajouri district on Tuesday morning. BSF IG NS Jamwal said: “On Tuesday, the Pakistani Army reinstated the unprovoked violation of the ceasefire in the Rajouri sector on the line of control where BSF Deputy Inspector Paotinsat Guite, who was deployed in the FDL of BSF, achieved martyrdom while displaying a conspicuous act of bravery not only in retaliating against enemy fire but also saving many of his colleagues. The martyr SI P Guite showed the highest degree of dedication and devotion to duty and gave his life in the line of duty.
Jamwal declared that the martyred Guite was a gallant and sincere frontier. “The nation will always be indebted to him for his supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty,” he said.
The Border Security Force has retaliated vigorously and effectively against the Pakistan Army posts. “The martyrdom of the frontier will not be in vain. The Border Security Force salutes the brave on BSF Fundraiser Day, ”he said.
The mortal remains of the martyr will be sent by air to Imphal and then to his hometown Maphoukuki Post-Lamlong in Manipur, where his last rites will be performed with all the honors of the state.
