India’s Covid-19 count rises to 94.31 lakh with 38,772 new cases | India News
NEW DELHI: The number of COVID-19 cases reported in India in a 24-hour span fell below 40,000 for the seventh time this month, bringing the infection count to 94.31 lakh, while recoveries rose to 88,47,600, according to the Union. Data from the Ministry of Health updated on Monday.
The total coronavirus Cases rose to 94,31,691 with 38,772 new infections, while the death toll rose to 1,37,139 after 443 more deaths were reported, data updated at 8 a.m. showed.
The number of people who have recovered from the disease increased to 88,47,600, bringing the national recovery rate to 93.81%. The COVID-19 fatality rate dropped further to 1.45%.
The number of active COVID-19 cases remained below five lakhs for the 20th consecutive day.
There are 4,46,952 active cases in the country, accounting for 4.74 percent of the total number of cases, according to the data.
India’s COVID-19 count had crossed the 20 lakh mark on August 7, 30 lakh on August 23, and 40 lakh on September 5.
It passed 50 lakh on September 16, 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11, crossed 80 lakh on October 29 and exceeded 90 lakh on November 20.
According to the ICMR, up to November 29, 14,03,79,976 samples have been analyzed and on Sunday 8,76,173 samples have been analyzed.
