Karnataka Conditions for Investigation of BSY Assistant’s Suicide Offer | India News

BENGALURU: One day after CM BS Yediyurappa’s political secretary and great-nephew NR Santosh attempted suicide, Karnataka’s Interior Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Saturday that the government is ready to investigate the incident if the Congress of the opposition presents evidence of their charges. “A detailed investigation will be carried out only if (DK) Shivakumar (head of the KPCC) hands over the video clip or CD that he claims is behind Santosh’s attempt to end his life,” Bommai said.
He said that Santosh is recovering in hospital and that an FIR has been registered at the Sadashivanagar police station against him. “The police are still finding out why he tried to commit suicide.” Shivakumar has demanded a high-level investigation into the alleged suicide, claiming that some confidential matters are related to him. “I heard that Santosh had a video and had given it to a BJP MLC and a minister. The video may have been the trigger for the suicide attempt, ”he said.
