Terrorists repeatedly trying to infiltrate: MM Naravane
Army Chief General MM Naravane said on Saturday that terrorists on the other side of the border are making desperate attempts to infiltrate the territory of the Union of Jammu and Kashmir and disrupt democratic processes.
“With the current situation on our western borders, terrorism remains a serious threat, and that does not diminish despite all the efforts made. There are launch pads of terrorists and terrorists on the other side of the line of control (LoC) desperately trying to infiltrate Jammu and Kashmir to disrupt normal democratic processes, ”Naravane told the media.
He said that with the onset of winters, desperate attempts are being made to infiltrate before the passes are closed. “This is why they (the terrorists) have started moving south and are now trying to infiltrate through lower regions, including tunnels across the international border,” Naravane said.
General Naravane reviewed the Indian Naval Academy Parade, Ezhimala for the fall term of 2020. A total of 164 trainees, including Midshipmen from the 99th Course of the Indian Naval Academy and Cadets from the 30th Orientation Course Naval, they became officers upon completion of their training.
