Schools will be closed for 10 more days in Haryana, says Anil Vij
Haryana Interior Minister Anil Vij said on Saturday that schools in the state will remain closed for a further 10 days in light of the Covid-19 pandemic. The state government had previously decided to keep schools closed until November 30.
“We have instructed all schools to remain closed for 10 more days from now. We will provide them with all the necessary Covid-19 guidelines before we reopen the facilities for students, ”Vij told reporters here.
Schools in Haryana had reopened earlier this month for classes 9-12 only and students could attend classes with the prior consent of their parents.
Here, 11 students and eight teachers from nine schools in Jind tested positive for Covid-19, while 72 students from 12 government schools in Rewari were infected with the coronavirus.
