Rahul Gandhi shares viral photo and says ‘this is very dangerous’

Several photos of farmers arriving in the capital defying tear gas and the police water cannon have gone viral on social media. Sharing one of them in which a jawan can be seen pointing his baton at a protesting farmer, Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi said it is a very sad photo. “Our motto was Jai Jawan Jai Kisan, but today Prime Minister Modi’s arrogance caused the Jawan to oppose the farmer. This is very dangerous, ”Gandhi tweeted.

“Look at the system of the country in the BJP government. When BJP’s billionaire friends come to Delhi, they are welcome on the red carpet. But when farmers come to Delhi, roads are being dug. It is okay for laws against farmers to be enacted, but when farmers come to Delhi, does it become a mistake? Priyanka Gandhi tweeted denouncing the police action against protesting farmers.

On Friday, the Delhi government welcomed farmers to the capital, rejecting the Delhi police’s request to change the city’s stadiums to jail the protesters for the time being. The protesters were allowed to gather at Nirankari Samagam Ground in Burari. Several farmers said they want to go to the land of Ramlila or Jantar Mantar to protest against the agricultural laws.

The protest is likely to intensify from Saturday, as farmers from Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand are likely to join the movement.
