LUCK: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday urged young people to develop the qualities of self-confidence and introspection, saying this was the goal of the New Education Policy announced earlier this year by his government.
“The goal of the new National Education Policy is for the youth of the country to know themselves,” he said at the centennial celebrations at Lucknow University.
In his speech via videoconference, the prime minister also made an indirect foray into previous governments, finding failures in the operation over years of Rae Bareli’s wagon factory.
However, it did not name the Congress or its president Sonia Gandhi, who represents Rae Bareli in Parliament.
Prime Minister Modi released a commemorative coin and postage stamp to commemorate the founding day of the University’s centenary.
