Karnataka Pradesh Congressional Committee (KPCC) Chairman DK Shivakumar, who is facing a large number of cases by IT, ED on disproportionate assets, was summoned by the Central Bureau of Investigation for further questioning on 23 November. The head of the KPCC himself admitted that the IWC had summoned him to appear for questioning at 4 pm on 23 November.

Shivakumar said he has asked for a new date as he will be touring the Maski and Basava Kalyan constituencies along with opposition leader Siddaramaiah. The head of KPCC said: “Yes, they came to issue a subpoena on November 19, but we were not available at home. So they have already served the subpoenas.
