Nitish Allocates Portfolios, Stays At Home, and Finances Tarkishore | India News

PATNA: One day after being sworn in for a new term together with his ministerial colleagues, Bihar Prime Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday allocated portfolios between them, keeping himself at home, general administration, surveillance and three more departments.
Senior Deputy Minister Tarkishore Prasad obtained the departments of finance, business tax, environment, forest and disaster management, urban development and information technology.
Another deputy CM Renu Devi got panchayati raj, backward class development, ECB and industry portfolios.
Ashok Chaudhary took over the building construction, welfare, minority affairs and Mewa Lal Chaudhary the education portfolio. Interestingly, Chaudhary had lost the cabinet birth the last time after his name came up in an alleged faculty hiring scam at an agricultural college.
Vijay Kumar Chaudhary took charge of rural development, rural engineering, water resources, information and broadcasting, and parliamentary affairs.
Sheela Kumari arranged transportation, and Santosh Kumar Sharan SC / ST affairs and minor risk.
Mukesh Sahani is the new Minister of Livestock and Fisheries. Mangal Pandey has retained the health portfolio, as well as road construction, art and culture.
Amrendra Pratap Singh has the agriculture, cooperatives and sugarcane portfolios.
Ram Preet Paswan is in charge of the public health engineering and Ram Surat Kumar of the revenue and law portfolios.
Jivesh Kumar will assume responsibility for the tourism, mining and labor departments.
