BCCI rope on MPL Sports as official kit sponsor of the Indian cricket team – cricket

The Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI) announced on Tuesday that MPL Sports will now be the new kit sponsor and official merchandise partner for the Indian cricket team. MPL Sports is the sportswear and sporting goods brand of the e-sports platform Mobile Premier League

BCCI signed a three-year agreement with MPL Sports that begins in November 2020 and continues through December 2023. MPL Sports’ partnership with BCCI begins with the upcoming India tour of Australia, 2020-21, which will see Team India wearing the new jerseys.

Older women and U19 teams are also part of the deal for the new kits.

Under the newly signed strategic partnership, MPL Sports has signed a three-year agreement from November 2020 to December 2023. MPL Sports’ partnership with BCCI begins with the upcoming India tour of Australia, 2020-21, in which Team India will participate wearing the new shirts. Senior men’s and women’s teams and U-19 teams are also part of the deal for the new kits.

“In addition to the Team India jerseys, MPL Sports will also sell products licensed by the Team India. MPL Sports will offer Team India jerseys and its wide range of products to fans at affordable prices, ”stated the official BCCI statement.

“We are delighted to announce the beginning of a new era for Indian cricket with the appointment of MPL Sports as the team sponsor for the Indian national men’s and women’s cricket team until 2023. We look forward to MPL Sports adding a new chapter to the team. and bring BCCI’s officially licensed merchandise within the reach of the more than one billion fans cheering for Team India, ”said BCCI President Sourav Ganguly.

The first ODI between India and Australia will be played on November 27 at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
