Nitish admits he will miss Sushil Kumar Modi in his new cabinet | India News

PATNA: After being sworn in as Bihar’s prime minister here on Monday, Nitish Kumar said he misses his trusted colleague Sushil Kumar Modi in the new cabinet.
Sushil Modi, who has been a deputy minister in Nitish Kumar’s cabinets several times, has not been included in the cabinet this time.
“We have a mix of old and new faces in the cabinet and we will work towards a better future for Bihar,” Kumar said.
When asked if he missed Sushil Kumar Modi this time, Kumar replied in the affirmative.
Kumar was sworn in on Monday, along with Tar Kishore Prasad and Renu Devi (probably vice ministers) and 12 other ministers. These include Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Mewa Lal Chaudhary, Ashok Chaudhary, Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Sheela Kumari, Mangal Pandey, Amarendra Pratap Singh, Ram Preet Paswan, Jivesh Kumar, Ram Surat Kumar, Santosh Kumar Suman, and Mukesh Sahani.
The new faces in Kumar’s cabinet in 2020 are Jivesh Kumar, Ram Surat Kumar, Sheela Kumari, Santosh Kumar Suman, and Mukesh Sahani.
Former CM of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis said: “For the BJP, it is a generational change to promote new faces in the party. BJP has internal democracy and it is reflected through such decisions. BJP gives opportunities to all leaders. With this , the ultimate goal is to strengthen the party. ”
He further said: “Sushil Kumar is an asset to the BJP. He served the party for over 40 years and the party will use his experience in the right place.”
The NDA has included two female ministers, Renu Devi and Sheela Kumari, in the cabinet. Women are considered silent voters of the NDA and PM Narendra Modi himself has been mentioned.
“Nitish Kumar is like my older brother. On the occasion of Bhai Dooj, I have a great opportunity to work with him again. I will work in the interest of women, as well as everyone else sitting on the bottom line. My goal is to work. in the line of Aatmanirbhar Bihar, “said Renu Devi.
Jivesh Kumar, a new face in the cabinet, said: “The party has given me the opportunity to serve as a minister, I will work in the interest of Bihar.”
