Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed regret over the road accident in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh in which seven people lost their lives. Seven people were killed when a vehicle they were traveling in fell into a khud in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh on Monday, police said. One person was also injured after the Mahindra pickup crashed at Suketi Khud in Pulghrat near Mandi at around 2.30am, they said. Six people died at the scene, while two wounded were taken to a zonal hospital where one of them succumbed to his injuries, police said.

The police have registered a case under IPC sections 279 (reckless driving), 338 (causing serious injury to anyone) and 304 A (causing wrongful death).
