Vice President pays tribute to Nehru on his birth anniversary
Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday paid tribute to the country’s first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, on his birth anniversary and said he will always be remembered for his contribution to building a modern India.
Naidu also extended his greetings on Children’s Day, which is observed on the anniversary of Nehru’s birth as a tribute to his contribution to the development of the nation and his love for children.
Nehru Wad was born on this day in 1889.
“My tribute to the former Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, on the anniversary of his birth today. He will always be remembered for his contribution to building a modern India, ”the Vice President’s Secretariat tweeted, quoting Naidu.
Naidu in another tweet said that children are the future of the country and must be fed with love and care. “The values of honesty, integrity, respect for the elderly along with the importance of Indian culture and harmonious coexistence with nature must be instilled in children from the beginning,” he said.
