SRINAGAR: On Friday, Congress attended its first meeting of the newly formed People’s Alliance for the Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) at J&K, sealing its non-BJP caucus participation after apparently being cautious about committing to partnering with Farooq Abdullah’s National Conference and Mehbooba Mufti’s PDP. in the first surveys of the District Development Council.
The participation of the head of the PCC office, Ghulam Nabi Monga, in the conversations at Mehbooba’s house came after the head of the J&K Congress, Ghulam Mir, stayed away from the meetings twice for health reasons. “We support the alliance and want J & K’s special status to be restored smoothly,” Monga said.
