Gift box contains Ganesh laxmi terracotta idols and diyas from Gorakhpur, kalanamak rice from Siddharthnagar, chikan kurta from Luckow, silk stole from Varanasi, bronze bowl from Moradbad, marble tea coasters from Agra, black ceramic vase from Azamgarh, Saharanpur wooden pencil holder, Pralatapgarh perfumer. , The jaggery of Muzaffarnagar, the moon basket of zari Prayagraj of Chandauli.

On Friday, the Uttar Pradesh government began its Deepotsav to mark Lord Ram’s homecoming to this holy city. A team from Guinness World Records was on hand to see if he made it to his book. Hours later, team leader Nishchal Barot gave the final count as 6,06,569 ‘diyas’, telling PTI that it was “the largest oil lamp exhibition in the world.”

This was the fourth annual Ayodhya Deepotsav, and the first since the ‘bhoomi pujan’ in August for a Ram temple in the city.
