BJP Announces New Team of State Managers | India News


NEW DELHI: The BJP announced its new team of state officials on Friday, appointing the politically crucial Uttar Pradesh to the party’s vice president (VP) and senior leader of Bihar, Radha Mohan Singh.
The appointments come more than a month after BJP president JP Nadda announced his new team.
Nadda has hired General Secretary Bhupender Yadav as the manager of Bihar and Gujarat, and Kailash Vijayvargiya of West Bengal. Yadav will be assisted by Secretaries Harish Dwivedi and Anupam Hazara. Another party secretary, Arvind Menon, and TI cell chief Amit Malviya will assist Vijayvargiya in Bengal. Similarly, Sunil Ojha, Secretary Satya Kumar and Sanjeev Chaurasia will assist Singh in UP.
In addition to Singh, the party has appointed another vice president, Baijayant Panda, in charge of Delhi and Assam, while General Secretary CT Ravi will be in charge of Maharashtra, Goa and Tamil Nadu. Secretary General Tarun Chugh, who was previously co-head of Delhi, will now take over the party’s work in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Telangana. Former Secretary-General P Muralidhar Rao, who used to deal with Karnataka, will now be in charge of Madhya Pradesh. The Secretary General, Arun Singh, will deal with Rajasthan.
The newly appointed Secretary General D Purandeshwari will take care of Odisha and Chhattisgarh. Secretary General Dushyant Gautam has taken over Punjab, Chandigarh and Uttarakhand and Dilip Sakia of Jharkhand and Arunachal Pradesh. Union Minister V Muralidharan will be in charge of Andhra Pradesh.
Satya Kumar, who is also a UP co-manager, has been appointed in charge of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Vinod Tawde of Haryana. In addition, Nadda appointed Bhupender Yadav as head of Kisan Morcha, Arun Singh of OBC, Dushyant Gautam of the women’s wing and Tarun Chug of the youth wing.
