Every life saved from Covid-19 is a success story for India, says Prime Minister Modi at BJP headquarters in Delhi
Addressing party workers in Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday applauded India for showing the best response to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic and said recent polls conducted in the country supported him.
The Assembly election held in Bihar was India’s first major election since the Covid-19 outbreak. Accrediting the BJP’s model of good governance, Prime Minister Modi said that the people’s vote for the party for its combat measures taken against the virus crisis in the country is solid proof of their support.
“The way we have fought the Covid-19 pandemic from ‘Janta Curfew’ until today was reflected in these election results,” said Prime Minister Modi. “Every life saved from Covid is a success story for India,” he added.
“The results of the polls have supported the way we have addressed the coronavirus crisis situation in the country,” the prime minister said.
On the NDA’s victory in Bihar, the prime minister said that the formula behind the victory was simple:“Sabka saath, Sabka vikas, Sabka vishwas”, which is the BJP mantra. “If you ask me today about the results of the Bihar elections, then my answer is as clear as the mandate of the people. It is simple: ‘Sabka saath, Sabka vikas, Sabka vishwas’ has won. Development has won in Bihar. Truth and faith have won in Bihar, ”Prime Minister Modi said.
Furthermore, in his speech, Prime Minister Modi called the results of the Bihar elections “special” and said that during the vote count, the BJP was the only party that saw their numbers increase despite being in power in the state for three terms.
