BJP Criticizes Chirag Paswan, Accuses LJP of Sowing Confusion, Ahead of Bihar Polls | Bihar Assembly Elections 2020 Election News

NEW DELHI: In its most direct attack on the Lok Janshakti Party, the BJP on Friday accused its chairman Chirag Paswan of trying to create confusion by insisting on his equations with senior leaders of the Saffron Party, and claimed that he had no relations with the LJP.
Paswan has been praising the BJP and its top leaders, such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Interior Minister Amit Shah, as he attacks JD (U) President and Bihar Prime Minister Nitish Kumar, leading to speculation that who has some tacit understanding with the saffron party.
“We want to make it clear that we have no relations (with LJP) and we do not like this policy of sowing confusion,” said BJP leader and Union Minister Prakash Javadekar.
Other senior BJP leaders, including party general secretary Bhupender Yadav, also criticized Paswan, who has left the ruling National Democratic Alliance in Bihar and his LJP party is contesting the assembly elections on his own.
Yadav accused Paswan of practicing a “policy of lies” and said he had been praising the Bihar government in February this year.
“Chirag should not live in illusion nor nurture any illusion or spread illusion,” Yadav tweeted.
Javadekar said that BJP’s alliance in Bihar is with JD (U), HAM (S) of Jitan Ram Manjhi and Vikassheel Insaan Party, stating that the NDA will win a three-quarters majority in the state.
The LJP is nothing more than “vote katua” (eating the votes of others) and will not be able to have much impact, he said.
Bihar’s elections are scheduled in three phases on October 28, November 3 and November 7. The vote count will take place on November 10.
