Tarn Taran SSP DH Nimble said that the police had registered a case under sections 302 and 34 (murder and common intent) of the IPC along with sections 25 and 27 of the Weapons Act against unknown assailants. There were no arrests until late at night.
The sources said there were criminal cases pending against Balwinder’s children and that their murder could be related to rivalry or animosity.
