Drug case: Police search Vivek Oberoi’s house in Mumbai while searching for his brother-in-law Aditya Alva | Hindi Movie News

Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi’s home was reportedly searched by Central Crime Division officials in connection with a drug case that allegedly involves his brother-in-law Aditya Alva as well.

According to the latest Times Now report, the police have been searching for Aditya Alva, the son of former Karnataka Minister Jeevaraj Alva. Aditya, who is Vivek’s brother-in-law, is accused of being involved in a drug case involving many singers and actors from the Kannada film industry.

According to PTI, “Vivek Oberoi is his relative and we got information that Alva is there … So a warrant was obtained and the Central Crime Division team headed to his home in Mumbai,” said a police officer .

The Sandalwood drug scam was exposed by Kannada filmmaker Indrajit Lankesh, earlier this year. The report also suggests that Alva, along with the main defendant, Shivaprakash Chuppi and Sheik Faazil, have been on the run since police launched a crackdown on drug dealers, vendors and organizers of rave parties. Meanwhile, twelve people are reported to have been arrested in the drug case to date.

Even the actresses Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjanaa Galrani are in judicial custody. Although NCB has carried out many raids in Bengaluru, which even includes Alva’s house, CCB has expanded its investigation.
