Rebel MLA concerns raised, but party discipline needs to be maintained: Rajasthan Congress | India News

JAISALMER: The Rajasthan Congressional MLAs have demanded action against Sachin Pilot and other rebel MLAs at the Congress Legislative Party (CLP) meeting yesterday. The head of state Congress Avinash Pandey at the CLP meeting sought to address the apprehensions and concerns of MLAs in Congress, sources said.
Pandey reiterated that congressional party workers must remain disciplined and must continue to follow the directives of the party’s high command, various congressional MLAs told ANI on condition of anonymity.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot chaired the CLP meeting at the Suryagarh Hotel in Jaisalmer on Sunday. The Rajasthan Assembly session is scheduled to begin on August 14.
Members of the prime minister who support the MLA are staying at the hotel after differences between Gehlot and his former MP Sachin Pilot came to light and sparked a political crisis in the state.
Pilot was removed as chief deputy minister and party head of state on July 14. Pilot was reportedly upset after the SOG sent him a notice to record his statement in an alleged congressional MLA poaching case in the state.
Congress has accused the BJP of participating in a horse game to overthrow the Gehlot government. However, the BJP has rejected the accusations.
