AYODHYA: The Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation, the trust set up by the Sunni Waqf Board for the construction of an alternative mosque in Ayodhya instead of Babri Masjid, has decided to invite Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to inaugurate the hospital , school, community kitchen, library, and other utility facilities in the 5-acre mosque complex.
The Trust, however, made it clear that there would be no foundation-laying ceremony for the mosque. This comes just 48 hours after Yogi dismissed questions from the media about participating in the mosque event, saying: Do you think they will invite me?
Confirming the decision to invite the chief minister to the site of the mosque in Dhannipur village, Foundation secretary Athar Hussain told TOI that “there is no provision to lay a foundation stone for a mosque in the four schools. of Islam thought: Hanafi, Hanbali, Shafi and Maliki “.
“A hospital, library, community kitchen and research center will also be built on the 5-acre site in Dhannipur village. These are public service projects and we will invite Prime Minister Yogi Adityanth to lay the foundation for these buildings, ”said Athar Hussain. He said that the prime minister will not only participate in the program, but will also help in the construction of these public facilities.
Speaking about the name of the proposed mosque, Hussain said that the name has yet to be decided. “For Allah, the namaz is important, not the name of the mosque.” But he clarified that the mosque will not be named after the Mughal emperor Babar. Imran Ahmad, a member of the trust, said: “Ayodhya District Magistrate Anuj Kumar Jha has formally transferred possession of the land to the mosque trust. We have a certified copy of the income record. ”
