Congress welcomes the construction of the temple | India News

NEW DELHI: Before the August 5 ceremony in Ayodhya, Congress released a statement on Friday supporting the construction of the Ram Temple. He also declined to be questioned about the invitations forwarded for the ceremony, calling it the prerogative of the trust of the temple.
Congress spokesman Jaiveer Shergill said: “The Indian National Congress welcomed and appreciated the Supreme Court ruling that paved the way for the construction of the Ram Mandir.” In a consultation, he said: “The decision regarding the participants, the methodology, the infrastructure, rests solely with the trust and interested persons who have been invited to participate in this holy occasion.”
Senior member of Congress Kamal Nath said: “I welcome the construction of the Ram temple. The countrymen expected and longed for this. Construction of the Ram Temple is being done with the consent of every Indian. “The vocal support came in the context of post-2014 concerns in Congress that BJP had successfully painted him as anti-Hindu.
