Kia Sonet SUV release date: Kia Sonet SUV joked ahead of debut on August 7 |
Aimed at young, tech-savvy buyers looking for a modern, sophisticated design with fascinating features, Kia says it has packaged the Sonet with a soft, roomy dashboard and sleek, minimalist center console.
The dashboard offers a full range of easy-to-use features, including a two-layer tray for storing mobile devices and other items while driving. The center of attention is its high-tech digital display and instrument cluster, featuring the world’s first 10.25-inch HD touchscreen and a navigation system with UVO Connected technologies.
The Sonet will also offer drivers steering wheel-mounted controls and the ability to select different driving and traction modes. The air vents in the dashboard feature a diamond ribbed metallic pattern, a sleek and elegant design.
Sonet sports an emotional and bold design, with bold design cues including the iconic ‘tiger nose’ grille, the ‘stepwell’ three-dimensional geometric grille mesh. The LED headlights reiterate the ‘Wild by Design’ theme that inspired the Sonet. Project an aggressive stance with tough appeal.
First introduced at Auto Expo 2020 as a concept, the new Kia Sonet is slated for world premiere on August 7.
“We are extremely excited to introduce the new Kia Sonet to the world, a compact SUV with a strong, muscular character found only in much larger vehicles. With this in mind, we have designed this SUV with a unique sporty attitude, confident posture and dynamic silhouette. Their uncompromising attention to detail and choice of colors and materials could only have been inspired by the great cultural heritage that our designers found across India, ”said Karim Habib, Senior Vice President and Head of Kia Global Design at Kia Motors Corporation.
Kia Sonet will present an extensive list of active and passive safety equipment. It comes equipped with up to six airbags. The Sonet is Kia’s latest ‘Made-in-India’ product and will be available in many of the brand’s global markets.
