‘Bois Locker room’ case: Delhi police arrest administrator of 18-year-old group | Delhi News


NEW DELHI: Delhi police arrested an 18-year-old boy who was the administrator of the “Bois Locker room” group on Wednesday. TOI on Wednesday was the first to report the boy who was picked up from Noida. However, the documents to establish his age were being verified.

Investigating authorities revealed that the accused boy had recently appeared for his class 12 exam and was awaiting the results. During the interrogation, he told police that he had created the group, but that he did not personally know everyone in the group and had added them through mutual references.

The Delhi Women’s Commission (DCW) had issued a notice to Instagram and the Delhi Police, considering the matter.

Some of those involved are from renowned schools in the national capital, police said.

Information about the group came to light after a girl shared screenshots of their activities. After this, the group began to be called on social networks.

Police said that during social media monitoring, it was noted that the group was being used by participants to share obscene messages and transformed photos.

A case was registered Monday under the relevant sections of the IT Law and the CPI, authorities said.
