COVID-19: Bollywood Celebrities Contribute To The PM CARES Fund And Also Urge Fans To Do Their Part | Hindi Movie News


Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the Prime Minister’s Emergency Relief and Citizen Relief Fund on Saturday (PM CARES Fund). Soon, a host of Bollywood and Southern celebrities came forward to contribute, and also called on their fans to do their part to help the Government of India in its fight against the coronavirus outbreak.

Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to announce that he “will contribute Rs 25 million” to the fund.

Many other celebrities joined the COVID-19 fight and announced that they would donate to the PM CARES Fund. Actor Varun Dhawan promised to “contribute Rs 30,000 to the PM CARE fund.” “We are going to get through this. Desh hai toh hum hain,” Varun added.
