Confirmed! The iconic Ramayana program will return to television

Previously, Prasar Bharti CEO Shashi Shekhar had hinted that iconic 80s shows Mahabharata and Ramayana could return to the small screen. Now Prakash Javedekar, Minister of Information and Broadcasting has confirmed in his tweets.
The minister shared: “I am happy to announce that, at the request of the public, we began broadcasting ‘Ramayana’ from tomorrow, Saturday, March 28 on DD National, a morning episode at 9 a.m. at 10 a.m., another in the afternoon from 9 p.m. at 10 p.m. . @narendramodi @PIBIndia @DDNational “.

Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana and B R Chopra’s Mahabharata addressed television screens in the late 1980s and mid-1990s. They were a delight to the audience and were widely enjoyed on Sundays.
