#FightAgainstCorona: Kapil Sharma donates Rs 50 lakh to the PM Relief Fund
Comedian-actor Kapil Sharma donated Rs 50 lakh to the PM Relief Fund as his part in this fight against the coronavirus. He shared a post about it on his Instagram and wrote, “Time to join with those who need us. Contributing Rs.50 lakhs to the Prime Minister’s relief fund for #fightagainstcorona. Ask everyone to #stayhome #staysafe #jaihind # PMrelieffund @narendramodi (sic) ”
Prior to this, he had shared a post asking people to volunteer for those who survive on daily wages. The comedian asked people to sponsor ration bags for them, who are badly affected by this blockade. He captioned this post as: “I wholeheartedly support this noble initiative. I am happy to contribute to this humanitarian cause. While staying safe at home, I urge everyone else to contribute online (sic)”
Since the pandemic hit the nation, Kapil Sharma has been rigorously asking citizens to stay safe, to stay indoors. He had also watched ‘Janta Curfew’ and entertained everyone by performing with singer Mika Singh on his balcony.
Despite repeated requests by the Prime Minister not to leave the house, there are some who are breaking boundaries and putting lives at risk. Also for them, he shared a video of chickens following orders, and asked humans to learn from them.
Actor Gurmeet Choudhary also supported this cause and also shared it on his Twitter account.
