Armaan Malik goes international with the English single “Control” | Movie news
Armaan was signed for this by music executive David Massey of Arista Records, one of Sony Music’s flagship labels. The music company has been home to iconic artists like Whitney Houston and Aretha Franklin in the past.
Speaking about the single, the 24-year-old says: “Control is a song that describes the feeling of being trapped in a control relationship and how confusing it can be to want to get in, but also to want to get out. It’s inspired by the relationships I’ve seen around me. ”
The song is a high-tempo song recorded in Los Angeles with Wayne Wilkins, a producer who has worked with artists such as Beyoncé and Natasha Bedingfield. In addition to co-writing the song, Armaan was also responsible for building the track’s wonderful bass line, and interestingly enough, this is his first time playing bass.
“During the session, Wayne casually handed me the bass and said, go crazy! I have been playing the guitar for a long time, but I have never played bass before. This is the first time I’ve played it for my own song and I’m pretty excited, “says Armaan, who has been dropping subtle hints about this special release with his airport wardrobe options, cryptic social media posts, and even his play list.
It has been a lifelong dream for Armaan to sing and write music in English and to represent India on a global stage. “This music is in my DNA. This has always been my career, and I am lucky to have the opportunity to make my dreams come true, “he concludes.
