LONDON: Prince Charles, the heir to the British throne, tested positive for coronavirus, his family said.

Charles, the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth, is 71 years old.

“The Prince of Wales tested positive for Coronavirus,” Clarence House said in a statement. “He has been showing mild symptoms, but is otherwise in good health and has been working from home for the past few days, as usual.”

“The Duchess of Cornwall has also been tested but does not have the virus,” said Clarence House. The Prince and his wife, Camilla, isolate themselves at home in Scotland.

“It is not possible to determine from whom the Prince contracted the virus due to the large number of commitments he made in his public service in recent weeks.”
