NEW DELHI: At today’s Union cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ministers were seen observing social distancing, which is a precaution against COVID-19.

Cabinet ministers were seen sitting keeping a distance from each other at the cabinet meeting that is underway at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg in the national capital.

Prime Minister Modi announced Tuesday a 21-day blockade across the country starting at midnight to deal with the spread of the coronavirus, saying “social distancing” is the only option to treat the disease, which is spreading rapidly. .

In a televised address to the nation, Prime Minister Modi had said that it is vital to break the chain of the disease and experts have said that it takes at least 21 days to do so.
