PM Modi Speech Today: Narendra Modi to Address Nation at 8 PM Tuesday for Coronavirus Outbreak | India News

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation, for the second time in a week, at 8 PM on Tuesday for the coronavirus outbreak.

“He will address the nation at 8 PM today, March 24, 2020, on vital issues related to the COVID-19 threat,” Modi tweeted.

He addressed the nation in an effort to combat the virus on March 19.

In his latest speech on the virus outbreak, Modi had called for “resolution and restraint” to combat the disease.

It had also announced the creation of a working group, led by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, to analyze measures to limit the economic difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Modi has been interacting with various stakeholders on ways to control the spread of the virus.

On Wednesday, he will interact with the people of Varanasi, his constituency of Lok Sabha, about the pandemic.

To date, nearly 500 cases of coronavirus have been reported in India, according to data from the Ministry of Health on Tuesday.

As viral infection cases increased, authorities locked almost the entire country, banned the gathering of people, and suspended road, rail, and air traffic until March 31.
