Gurgaon News: 11 Italian tourists recover from Covid-19, published | Gurgaon News


GURUGRAM: Eleven Italian tourists, among the first Covid-19 patients admitted to Indian hospitals, have fully recovered. Medanta, the private superspecialty hospital where they were being treated, said Monday that the 11 had been discharged and turned over to the Italian embassy.

Overall, 37 coronavirus patients have fully recovered in India.

Gurugram medical director JS Puniya said: “This is good news in the current scenario that 12 of the 14 Italian tourists have been released from the hospital.” So far, the city has seen eight people test positive for Covid-19, in addition to Italians. There were no new cases on Monday.

The Italian group had traveled through three states before reaching Rajasthan and then New Delhi, where they tested positive for Covid-19. Hospital sources said one of the tourists he still admitted had developed some complications a few days ago, but his condition is now stable.
