Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be sworn in as Madhya Pradesh CM today | Bhopal News


BHOPAL: BJP Chief Leader Shivraj Singh Chouhan is scheduled to be sworn in as Prime Minister of Madhya Pradesh at 9 p.m. Monday.

Chouhan has previously served as the Chief Minister of State between 2003 and 2018.

The BJP legislative party meeting is scheduled for 6 pm at the party headquarters in Bhopal.

This comes after Kamal Nath resigned from Governor Lalji Tandon as prime minister on March 20 following the resignation of 22 MLA from Congress.

The Governor wrote to Assembly Speaker NP Prajapati on Sunday, declaring on the BJP’s motion of no confidence against Nath and the resignation of BJP MLA Sharad Kol.

Chouhan alleged on Saturday that the speaker of the assembly was pressuring the Secretariat to accept Kol’s resignation.
