The ‘Baby Doll’ singer is reported to have attended a party in Lucknow after returning to Mumbai from London. Her father stated that she attended three parties, however Kanika said that she only attended a small gathering and that she wore gloves the entire time.
Soon parts of Lucknow were closed, except for drug stores, gas agencies, hospitals, and pharmacists. All restaurants were also closed as a precautionary measure.
According to the latest reports, the U.P police are ready to take action against Kanika. Police officers are reportedly filing an FIR against the singer under Section 269 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
According to the section, “whoever carries out any act illegally or negligently, and who knows or has reason to believe that the infection is likely to spread any life-threatening disease, will be punished with imprisonment of any description for a term that can be extended to six months, or with a fine, or both.
Meanwhile, District Magistrate Lucknow will investigate all the parties the singer attended.
